Next Round Capital, a leading venture capital and secondaries advisory firm is pleased to announce that Wyan Yarbrough, CFA, has joined the firm as Director of Research. Yarbrough brings more than a decade of TMT (technology, media, telecom) investment experience and a successful track record of identifying and leading investments in high-growth and disruptive technology companies and pre-IPO startups.
Yarbrough will lead the firm’s development of in-depth research in technology, including AI, IoT, cybersecurity, and other areas in support of the firm’s sourcing of opportunities in secondary markets for investors.
Before joining Next Round Capital, Yarbrough served as Head of Technology Investing for BlackRock’s Growth Investment Strategies, overseeing more than $50 billion in assets under management. He played a key role identifying and leading investments in a broad range of public and private companies, including C3.ai, Genesys, Snyk, Dragos, PsiQuantum, and SambaNova, and others. Prior to BlackRock, Wyan served as a TMT Investment Research Associate at T. Rowe Price, where his contributions led to billion dollar private investments in Uber, Flipkart, Magic Leap, and others.
